The Department of science, information and monitoring of GNPP on January 1, 2014 on staff consists of 4 units (the head of Department -1 unit (zoologist), SNA - 1 (ecologist), SNA - 1 (teriologist), MNC - 1 unit (botanist), the rate of MNC is divided into 2 half-time (botanist and ornithologist). In total in 2013 5 employees of GNPP, including the head of Department worked. Among them: candidates of Sciences-1, all employees with higher Zoological or environmental education.

The Department of science, information and monitoring is equipped with a laptop, 2 computers, field equipment.

In addition, the cordons of scientific equipment has household thermometers by air, pointers phenolic, several precipitators, snow throwers and water meters made by hand. In addition, there is a scientific and technical library, in 2013 the library received about 10 books, booklets, brochures.

In 2013, the following scientific work was carried out under the perspective thematic plan of NIR GNPP "Altyn-Emel"::

Topic "Observation of phenomena and processes in natural-territorial complexes of SSPE" Altyn-Emel "and their study under the program" Chronicle of nature»

Category:" Chronicle of nature "GNPP" Altyn-Emel»

The" nature chronicle "of SSPE" Altyn-Emel " is a monitoring of changes in the state of natural complexes and ecosystems of SSPE, as well as the protected zone. These studies have been conducted since 2008 and already make it possible to trace the main patterns of changes in natural complexes and biodiversity of GNP over a number of years. The inspector SSPE involved the collection of data for the compilation of the annals of nature and lead a notebook of observations in nature. In the implementation of the topic involved 1 researcher, but for the full monitoring of natural and territorial complexes and ecosystems of the territory of the GNP and its protective zone, the processing of a large amount of incoming material, you need another rate of the researcher.

Results-collection, analysis, generalization and analysis of diaries of observations and phenological tables of inspectors submitted monthly to the scientific Department of GNPP were Carried out. During the year, work was carried out with the state inspectors on the collection of material on the Chronicle of nature - provided consultations, checked the quality of observations and submitted tables. A trip was made to the anthropogenically damaged areas of the protective zone of GNPP. In parallel, the research Department has been the preparation of material for implementation of the relevant sections of the annals of nature.  The number of wild animals being one of the components of the Chronicle of nature was also recorded jointly by the scientific Department and the Department for the protection of GNP.

Currently, the state inspectors and researchers SSPE conducted the collection and processing of information for the preparation the book No. 12 of the Chronicles of nature in 2013 In the framework of the agreement on cooperation and student practices between SSPE and Zhetysu state University in 2013, was conducted the sampling on the contamination and condition of atmospheric air, water and soil in a protected area and the buffer zone of SNNP, for which students of the University were published 5 scientific articles.

The topic is a moving one and will be continued in 2014.

Prepared and submitted to CFH, the Ministry reports operational information and book # 11, "Chronicle of nature of SNNP "Altyn-Emel" for 2012. In 2013, data was collected on changes in topography, climatic factors, hydroregime, vegetation, wildlife, anthropogenic changes. After the end of the phenological year 2013 (March 2014) will be held synthesis, analysis and evaluation of the collected data, the results will be summarized in the book № 12 Annals of nature for 2013.

In 2012 officially completed scientific research topic "Study of adaptation and population status of Przewalski's horse and the Bukhara deer in the process of reintroduction in the SNNP "Altyn-Emel", however, in connection with further work on the reintroduction of Przewalski horses in SNNP perhaps this theme of research will be formally continued.

For a full study of natural ecosystems and biodiversity of GNP, improving the quality of scientific research, it is necessary to study and monitor the status of valuable and hunting and fishing animal species (mountain goat, wild boar, ROE deer, cake, pheasant), hydrological, Herpetological, climatological, environmental and other studies, as provided in the master plan for the development of GNP infrastructure. However, for this purpose it is necessary to expand the staff of the research Department, increase the salary of researchers and additional state budget funding of scientific activities.

There is a scientific archive, which includes historical material, like the diaries and notebooks of observations of state inspectors in nature, phenological tables, card counts of the number of wild animals of yesteryear, the field diaries. Materials such as books Chronicles of nature, interim scientific reports of the staff of the Department of science GNPP, reports of third-party scientific organizations, methodological documents, acts and cards of accounting for the number of animals in recent years are stored in the scientific Department of GNPP and used for work.

Collected and stored in electronic form scientific, photographic and video library of plants and animals representing species photos, phenological phases of plants, photos of habitats vegetation and habitats the distribution of wildlife, a private environmental features in the biology of animals. The largest photographic archive compiled in the framework of the research topics of the "Study of adaptation and population status of Przewalski's horse and the Bukhara deer in the process of reintroduction in the SNNP "Altyn-Emel".

From collection materials there is a herbarium of plants (about 100 species of plants, sewed and labelled, including rare and endangered), entomological collection (in the form of 10 large and small boxes, insect specimens are provided with labels indicating families, genera, Latin names, the place of capture). Herbarium and entomological collection held by the research Department, are available to be used in exhibitions during the environmental lectures for school students, are shown to students, trainees or external experts.

Scientific reports, nature Chronicle books, scientific articles, as well as all documents related to scientific activities of GNPP are stored in electronic form and thus constitute an electronic scientific database of GNPP. There is no doubt that there is a need for an electronic database to monitor changes in natural complexes, biodiversity and ecosystems of GNP within the framework of nature Chronicle, preferably with the use of GIS technologies.

In 2013, more than 15 field visits of researchers to collect field material were carried out. Planned and developed on the field of 80 thousand tenge. Together with the security service, the number of ungulates, carnivores, birds of prey and waterfowl were recorded during the year. Bush conducted 2 training workshops on conducting observations according to the Chronicle of nature of the inspection the composition of SSPE. In addition, 2 information and reporting seminars on the results of the implementation of research topics were held for employees of the SSPE office.

In the framework of scientific work is the reintroduction of Przewalski's horses, of which there are 9 goals in the current year, the resulting offspring - 2 heads. To replenish the herds of Przewalski's horses mares is working to obtain permits to exchange 2 onagers 2 mares of Przewalski's horses from the Shymkent zoo. Prepared boobsmania on the delivery of an additional number of Przewalski's horses, and iotlb 2 goals Kulan exchange for 2 mares of Przewalski's horse.

In 2013, 3 contracts were signed-with the Institute of Zoology for accounting works and paleozoological surveys, as well as with the Almaty zoo for the transfer of two Przewalski horses for temporary detention in the zoo.

An artificial waterfall under the Aktau and Katutau mountains was built in cooperation with the security service to attract gazelles and kulans to the anhydrous areas. The work of outside organizations on the territory is supervised - party organizations on the territory-paleozoological detachment of the Institute of Zoology on the search for fossil animal remains, Zhetysu state University on the collection of comparative data on the level of contamination of the territory of GNPP and the protection zone, Zharkent anti-noise Department on the survey of the natural focus of plague in the territory of GNPP and settlements was supervised.

With the assistance of the Department of science published promotional materials on GNPP-advertising magazine, booklets, calendars, billboards and signs.
